RELIABILITY WITHOUT COMPROMISE

The SOPHO IPC 500 is an advanced IP-PBX communications solution that offers all the features of a sophisticated corporate system for medium and small-sized businesses.

Earlier this year Philips introduced the SOPHO IPC 500 to the market. The system offers the choice of deploying traditional circuit-switched telephony, wireless telephony through DECT, IP telephony, or a combination of the three. All of this in a single system, so that users can take full advantage of voice/data convergence at their own pace as their business needs evolve. By using the enhanced networking architecture, the SOPHO IPC 500 can be deployed to suit the requirements of single sites with as few as 25 extensions, to a multi-site system with up to 2,500 extensions.

Suit exact business needs
The IPC 500 supports six different applications, that can be picked and mixed to suit exact business needs. These vary from the highly advanced Call Accounting application InSite, to the practical Voicemail Lite, which is an entry-level voice processing application that gives frequently used voice features, such as an automatic answering application and the possibility to discretely record conversations.

All in all, the solution offered does not force companies to trade off reliability for voice/data integration. Its telephony application is controlled by an industrial strength embedded operating system, which means there is no need to compromise on the phone system and customer service. The system is future-proof. Because it is compatible with Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) – an internationally agreed standard for internet telephony and Voice over IP (VoIP) – users can take advantage of new services and applications, no matter how fast technology advances.

The Business Partner Program brings it all together – the products, programs, people and processes – to help business partners offer best-in-class communication solutions to SMB customers. “The IPC 500 is the big brother of the IPC 100, launched in 2005,” says Jennifer Falnia, NEC Philips Channel Marketing Manager. But it is more too. “By offering our business partners this excellent addition to the portfolio, we are clearly stating our ongoing commitment to the channel and the valuable relationships we have with our partner community.”
