BUSINESS MOBILITY IP DECT
Combine the best of both worlds
Philips’ SOPHO Business Mobility provides wireless telephony over an IP network. With many companies switching over to an IP network, Business Mobility IP DECT is a unique solution that combines the benefits of IP telephony with the superior quality and facilities of the well-established DECT technology. This IP-based wireless system retains the service level to which customers are accustomed, providing perfect voice quality, seamless handover between cells and a secure air interface.
DECT Access Points AP100 and AP200
The AP100 and AP200 DECT Access Points are radio base stations that provide wireless telephony to enterprise IP networks. Connecting directly to the LAN, dedicated cabling between radio base stations and the PBX is no longer necessary. Instead, the DECT Access Points make use of a single converged voice and data network.
Providing wireless telephony within a multi-site business or campus environment involves simply installing DECT Access Points at the remote locations. No additional remote equipment is needed. G.729ab, supported by the AP200, strengthens the applications of Business Mobility IP DECT in branch office locations as it decreases the need for bandwidth for connections to these branch office locations.
Using the powerful Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) between Business Mobility IP DECT and the hosting PBX, the IP DECT solution has become an easy add-on to potentially every SIP enabled Philips or non-Philips PBX. On top of the peer-to-peer SIP basic call, Business Mobility IP DECT supports a.o. call transfer, DTMF, name display and message waiting indication.
Available on SOPHO iS3000 and SOPHO 2000 IPS.
